Daniel Jeong

Daniel graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic with a diploma in Bio-Science Technology.

Early in his career, Daniel contributed to the Saskpolytech Bio-science research lab by conducting genotyping and genetic screening to identify powdery mildew-resistant strains. Further, he demonstrated metagenomics analysis of biological samples from Saskatoon sewage and the South Saskatchewan River, in collaboration with the City of Saskatoon. Daniel has previously conducted research under Dr. Justin Botterill at the University, focusing on the relationship between the hippocampus and fear/stress memory in mice.

Daniel undertakes the training of our students and ensures the smooth running of the lab. Beyond the lab, Daniel enjoys staying active through table tennis and working out, while also finding joy in raising his hedgehogs.
